Some old random photographs as I have not finished any craft items the few days. The top two were taken at Dimbola Lodge on the Isle of Wight, well worth a visit if you are interested in Photography. I like the room decor, looks old fashioned and comfortable. The wallpaper typical William Morris.

Some of the wonderful old photographs at Dimbola.

A cave by Harlech Castle. I would like to get round to drawing this some time with a fantasy character standing in front!

A couple of photographs taken in the in warmer weather in 2006.

It is so sad that Bees are disappearing fast

Daughter used to work at Jessops got me a good deal on a smashing Camera I still use. I had lots of fun taking pics and going to put them on discs and having the excuse to see daughter at work! Found some of my old discs and will put pics on blog. Be warned I have lots of discs to play with in the coming months. These are from 2006, Spring or Summer by the look of the weather!
 Peepo!
Ok So it's a frog not a toad!
 I have a visitor
 Damselfly

Spot the goldfish.

Bee on Iris

Fingerless Gloves All Sewn Up and ready to be added to parcel sent to daughter.

Wishing I had more time to Craft, Read and have fun!

Terry Prachett's Snuff was brilliant. No wonder daughter is a fan. No words are wasted, The scenes are created in you mind without any problems. You are carried effortlessly into the adventure. For those who are familiar with book, I read the Damn Slam in the bath listening to one of the wonderful storms we have been having in Shropshire just for special effects!

I  definitely have a love hate relationship with computers! Seems like I have moments when I forget all I have learnt about them. Anyway you just get used to one way of doing things then for one reason or another it all changes. It has taken me ages just to be able to post on this site again.
The rain is pouring down, cannot usually hear it when at the computer, think there is some hail  as well. All to add to an already soggy Shropshire! Should not complain to much, there are a lot of counties have bigger problems.

A couple of mini pics, hope the buyer is pleased when they receive them.

Knitted these mitts from a pattern from Simply Knitting magazines. Spent quite some time on them, more than necessary as it turned out there were mistakes in the pattern. The main lacy pattern seemed ok, for some reason didn't give up and quite pleased with results. Just need stitching up.

Have been lining bags it has been fun getting my sewing machine out have not used it for a while.

Finished lining the Llama wool bag and started tacking fabric for the two rib bags

Machined the two lining then sewed them into the bags by hand, after sewing the handle lining in place. Stitched the handle lining in place by hand after first machining sides under for strength and neatness. My tacking is not neat!

When I was sewing the ribbed bags together, forgot to say, there are two extra stitches on one side of the bag because of the rib. But as knitting is stretchy it does not make much difference.

 Three lined and finished bags.
 Finished light denim bag.
Finished dark denim bag. Decided to put a cable tab over opening just to help it stay closed.

While sewing and knitting have been listening to the popular Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry.

Started knitting a pair of lacy fingerless mittens from a pattern from an old  Simply Knitting Magazine
Decided the light denim bag is ideal for putting over shoulder and keeping the ball of wool in while knitting and of course just putting whole project in progress in.
