Dip
Friends insisted I borrow and read this book.  Don't normally like borrowing books, have so many of my own to read and not enough time! Extra sense of responsiblily to me that their copy is signed by the author. Enjoyed reading it very much. The author lives in the same county so of course the names of places are familiar to me. The author has overcome some very difficult times in his life and gives us a glimse of how he manages to keep a sense of reality, and sanity. He also has a very poetic way of describing things.

A visit to the Isle of Wight.  Really enjoyed seeing family members.  Very lucky with the weather, so had some walks in the sunshine.  The trees on this path fascinate me, I think they are very magical. Have taken photos on this path before and of these trees!

Lots of interesting root shapes for fairy creatures to hide!

If this ship had not been so far away and it had not been so windy, I might have been able to get the horizon straight!

A visitor on the site where we staying.
 Another walk in the countryside
A frequent visitor to Mum's garden

He went around to the back garden and sat on the fence.  He has got two legs but one is tucked up underneath him.

Supermoon Taken on the 29th August, 2015

I took this probably a couple of months ago. Think it is Venus and Jupiter. The red light is the 'Wrekin Beacon'

Two more photos taken in the last few months.  The Wrekin in the distance.

Another snap taken in the garden.

Flowers and knitting!  Flowers in the garden. Photographs taken last week.  Some of the Lillys have faded and died but there are new buds waiting to open.

Really like Chinese lanterns. Think they look attractive and decorative when they are green, as well as when they get to the orange stage.

Changed phone as I thought the other one I had was playing up. Had the other since at least 2009, some people change a lot more than that I know. Was brought up to look after things and probably do not use phone nearly as much as other people.  Do carry it around in handbag a lot though, which is why quickly knitted this cover for it just to give it extra padding while squashed in handbag !

Lots of end I started sewing in.

Finished the jumper, not terribly good as I messed the yarn up undoing the yarn so many times as I had nearly finished another pattern with it, but decided to do this pattern instead.

Dragonfly. Yesterday in the Garden took these photos by the pond. A common Southern Hawker Dragonfly I think.

Thursday 9 July 2015

This morning woke up and thought of all thought there are never enough hours in the day are there?  This is a dog which shared this home last week. Am not a doggy person but agreed to look after him while is owners went away.  I always thought he was quite a fierce looking dog, but he is actually a very nice tempered dog.

This is a very bad picture of a Charcoal coloured jumper I knitted sometime ago and wore again the other day. Found it comfortable to wear.

So decided to undo a jumper I have been knitting for quite sometime, am a slow knitter, had knitted most of the front and back!

Also wanted to give a second coat to the where I have painted so far in the back bedroom, this is before I did the second coat, but I have managed it!

This is the jumper I have unravelled and started on the other pattern. Wonder if it will get finished?

Had a good day really, hope you have too.

Hawkstone Park Managed to walk around there last Thursday. It has been a long time since I have been. Beautiful views, but am more wary of heights than I used to be!

Took these sunset photos of the Wrekin etc. a few months ago.

Daffodils in Town Park
Definite signs of Spring, although since taking this picture last week we have been battered with wind, hail and rain!
