Makes - Sewing

This is  a dress made using this pattern

Have just used pinking for neatening edges, I think this is ok for small garments and a soft edge.

As this dress seems quite short and is shown in picture with knickerbockers I have cut out to make a matching pair.

I have top stitched around the bodice, but the edge is hand stitched down as well.

Hand stitched inside edges of cuffs as instructed by pattern.

Using this pattern for the knickerbockers.

Also, I am making a top, short dress from this pattern with matching knickerbockers in age 1 size.

Full moon and Roses

Dress made for Grandchild to grow into!

My pics of the last but one full moon.

The weird silhouette at the front is actually the top of a tree.

Roses, complete with wildlife!

Just a Rose.

Still there the next day.

We don't normally have these birds on our front lawn, they came to see us a few days ago.

These geese were on guard while their offspring were feeding at the Town Centre Park.

Plodding On

Plodding on , have all these projects have in mind to do but then the time just slips. Managed to finish knitted top.

This is the top knitted to go with the leggings.  The instructions, i think, were slightly wrong regarding the sleeve.  It stated to knit in rib. But when you look at the front of the pattern, it is garter stitch.  So i copied the picture rather than the instructions!  Can see why the mistake was made, as there is a long sleeve version and the start of that was Rib which makes sense.

The front and the back are the same length, it is just the way i have taken the picture.

Finished 'Angel Top'

Finished Walking The Amazon. Enjoyed this book, took my time over reading this.

Snapdragons in the garden.

Wild Violets on the front lawn.

Lining up the buttons to complete a Womans  Weekly knitting pattern, baby cardigan.

Completed legging from an old Jarol E982 Knitting Pattern. Was not sure how to do the waist really. Have threaded through some pale pink elastic.

Two Sides of a half knitted Angel Top, from Jarol pattern.  Have discovered looking at pattern, the short sleeve instructions do not look correct.  On the picture the sleeves definitely begin with garter stitch as on the bottom seen here on front and back pieces.  Well see if i can work it out!

Also doing some larger leggings  Sirdar pattern in cotton acrylic mix yarn.

100% Cotton Yarn Boottees Before being sewn up.

/Finished Childs Cardigan, took quite some time, had knitted a smaller size already. I don't mind  making the same things more than once, I know some people liking making something different each time.

The Moon a few weeks ago!

Rose Hips, heard if you leave them they are good for the birds to eat.  But saw on Winterwatch they are only edible after a few frosts have softened them.  Also don't know how they can reach these.  So taken some off , put them to one side and see if they soften and if the birds eat them.

As this picture was taken a while ago.  The birds have been managing to peck at the apples.

The last few months we had had snow a few times.  Does not stay long though.  People have been out and enjoyed with their children when they have had it.   Keeping distance between groups of course!

A beanie and snood , knitted from a Charcoal coloured acrylic yarn with a white fleck.

Found casting off with a large needle a help.   But today I have looked up a better cast off on youtube.  Am going to try this on some bootees I have knitted in cotton and really want a flexible cast off.
